"I have tried to show the Resurrection like the opening of a flower", said artist James Wieneke after he had completed his mural at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Kangaroo Point, Brisbane in June 1948. The Courier-Mail (3/6/1948) reported the mural, situated above the church’s sanctuary, had taken Wieneke three months to paint. "The mural shows Christ in His glory appearing among a heavenly host", he told the newspaper. Source: www.slq.qld.gov.au/blog/mural-st-josephs-church-kangaroo-...

to suzymillward on the note above: I'm a little confused as to why it only apears to be a few arrows(I couldnt detect any more than, say, 4), but I believe it represents the 7 sorrows or Dolors of Mary Mother of God. The caption says is a painting of the Dolorosa, which I think is translated as "The Way of Suffering". Thats the only thing I could think of. Anybody else have a comment or explanation on this one?
