    High up on the wall at extreme left, nearest the camera, is the monument of Admiral Sir William Penn (1621-70) founder of Pennsylvania. His half-armour and the banners of Dutch ships he captured in battle can be seen above, and remain there today.

    "I have tried to show the Resurrection like the opening of a flower", said artist James Wieneke after he had completed his mural at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Kangaroo Point, Brisbane in June 1948. The Courier-Mail (3/6/1948) reported the mural, situated above the church’s sanctuary, had taken Wieneke three months to paint.
