  "READY ALWAYS" — THE WARWICK AMBULANCE By "CORBIE DHU". IN the 34 years that have elapsed since the center was established, the staff has attended 36,041 calls and has traveled 312,305½ miles in the performance of its duty." Behind this brief extract from the last annual report of the Warwick Centre of the Queensland Ambulance Transport Brigade lies a story of men whose one aim has been, and is, to uphold to the letter their exacting motto, "Ready Always." Side by side with the story of the bearers is a tale of unremitting effort by the brigade's committee to maintain its station as one of the best equipped and most efficient in the State. In this ideal, it has been accorded the willing support of town and country residents, on whose generosity depends the financial soundness of the brigade.   The Vauxhall Big 6 is a name given to a series of automobiles which was produced by Vauxhall in the United Kingdom from 1934 to 1940.[2] Rolling chassis were also bodied in Australia. Based on a lengthened 111 in (2,800 mm) version of the Vauxhall Cadet the new car had a conventional chassis with semi-elliptical leaf springs all round and Vauxhall-Lovejoy hydraulic dampers. Wire -spoked wheels were fitted. Compared with the Cadet, the engine was mounted further forwards. To satisfy the demand for larger coach-built bodies the BXL model was a long wheelbase 130 in (3,300 mm) version. Two engines were offered, both six cylinder.
