Since I was wondering what she died of, thought others might as well. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inez_Milholland Pernicious anemia (also known as Biermer's anaemia or Addison's anaemia or Addison-Biermer anaemia) is a form of megaloblastic anemia due to vitamin B-12 (vitamin B12) deficiency, caused by impaired absorption of vitamin B-12[1] due to the absence of intrinsic factor[2] in the setting of atrophic gastritis, and more specifically of loss of gastric parietal cells. While the term "pernicious anemia" is sometimes also incorrectly used to indicate megaloblastic anemia due to any cause of vitamin B-12 deficiency, its proper usage refers to that caused by atrophic gastritis and parietal cell loss only. It is the most common result of adult vitamin B-12 deficiency.[3]

I wonder if this picture could have been taken at the very beginning or end of the parade. The street cars are running, and there seems to be a concentration of action at the front of the frame, where men are talking with women and there seem to be several police. . . . people in the crowd are facing in many different directions, which is confusing. Perhaps the man is dispensing sashes for marchers to wear?
