suffrageparade

I think this must be from this parade: GREAT ADVANCE OF SUFFRAGE SINCE LAST YEAR'S PARADE -- It Has Been the Banner Year for the "Cause" -- Women Hold That It Is No Longer "Arriving," But Has "Arrived," and Point to Long Record of Victories in the Twelvemonth to Prove It. New York Times: May 4, 1913

Alberta Hill was secretary to Harriot Stanton Blatch, President of the Women's Political Union. In 1915, she married Francis Smith, assistant to Woodrow's Wilson's Secretary of the Navy Josephus Daniels. From the New York Times article on the wedding, November 5, 1915:

"'Mrs. Smith, are you going to obey your husband?' asked Father O'Donnell at the close of the Ceremony. 'No,' replied the bride."

Thank you Elizabeth Thomsen and whyaduck: We will add the additional information about Alberta Hill and the suffrage march of March 3, 1913 in Washington D.C. to the source data and reload the description.
