    Finally solved the mystery of "Byrne" in the photo. He is Louis T. Byrne (USMA Class of 1914), younger brother of Eugene A. Byrne. USMA Cadet Eugene A. Byrne died as a result of a broken back and paralysis he sustained in an October 1909 football game between West Point and Harvard. Army canceled the remainder of its 1909 football season after Cadet Byrne's death.
