Theodore (TP) Hall Collection Photo

This is a photo of ejection seat spurs. These spurs would be connected to cables that would pull in and restrain the pilot's legs during the ejection sequence. They were typically used with the ejection seats on the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, and are still used by pilots of the Lockheed U-2.

World Champion Trick and Fancy Roper, rancher. Born 1883, died 1951.

I started an entry for her in Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florence_LaDue

adonis_sepquin and Richard Arthur Norton, Thanks for the additional information! We'll update the record with more details. It does appear her 'stage name' was actually Flores LaDue, rather than Florence. She is named as Flores in both the Cowgirl Hall of Fame and in this article on the Calgary Stampede used in the Canadian Encyclopedia, so we'll note that as well.

Sligo looking out towards the sea from behind Benbulben? Is this near it but from a different angle? www.flickr.com/photos/16132340@N07/2814539663/

Swordscookie I thought that initially, and don't want to steer you in the wrong direction but I think it might be in another county (from the run of Lawrence photo id numbers - though that's not always 100% accurate or scientific).

If it's north of the border then apart from Fermanagh I would not have a clue. It reminds me of driving from Cavan through Leitrim to Sligo but I cannot remember the location of the spot I have in mind!

    I say it's Glenariff. I have a similar photo. www.flickr.com/photos/13073434@N03/7655265084/in/photostream

Robin Parkes Looks like it Robin, just shows you how much I missed by not going north more often.
