Look at how sharply pressed those trousers are! A great portrait.

By 1952, a Matthew L. Nugent was living at 34 St. Andrews Terrace. He was fined 2s 6d for driving without a valid licence. It had expired 11 days previously. (New Ross Standard 28/3/1952).

That's 2 years trimmed off the end date (unless he was a lodger or somesuch). Or Miss O'Driscoll married Mr Nugent.

In 1911, here is William Sage originally from Bristol, 86, retired Cabinet maker

I also see Joseph Sage, Cabinet maker, living on the Mall. Son Daniel also in the trade, daughters May and Nannie are Sales Woman Furniture Shop. nationalarchives.ie

I like Daniel Sage for the man in the suit and flat cap.

There are a number of Sage related pics in the catalogue from 1884 to 1924, but this is the only one digitized.

Daniel Sage died at 63 in Tramore, a bachelor and Antique Furniture Dealer. His sister CW Sage of 20 The Mall Waterford present.
