I wonder if that's the St. Patrick's Hospital at Belmont Park, Waterford? A psychiatric hospital and institution run by the Brothers of Charity.

I always wondered why there was no front windscreen; how did Lindbergh see where he was going? Wikipedia explains ...

" ... At Lindbergh's request, the large main and forward fuel tanks were placed in the forward section of the fuselage, in front of the pilot, with the oil tank acting as a firewall. This arrangement improved the center of gravity and reduced the risk of the pilot being crushed to death between the main tank and the engine in the event of a crash. This design decision meant that there could be no front windshield, and that forward visibility would be limited to the side windows. This did not concern Lindbergh as he was accustomed to flying in the rear cockpit of mail planes with mail bags in the front. When he wanted to see forward, he would slightly yaw the aircraft and look out the side. To provide some forward vision as a precaution against hitting ship masts, trees, or structures while flying at low altitude, a Ryan employee who had served in the submarine service installed a periscope which Lindbergh helped design. It is unclear whether the periscope was used during the flight. ... "

One possibility is a Lt. Patrick G. Fitzgibbons who led the New York Police Glee Club and Band. See NYT of July 16, 1925 timesmachine.nytimes.com/timesmachine/1925/07/16/10167283... which says, "Governor Alfred E. Smith and many other State and municipal officlals went to the pier at the foot of West Houston Street yesterday to bid farewell to Lieutenant Patrick Fitzgibbons, head of the New York Police Glee Club and Band, who sailed for Italy on the Giuseppi Verdi on his way to Rome." NYT of Feb 4, 1954 timesmachine.nytimes.com/timesmachine/1954/02/04/92528703... gives his middle initial as G.

An earlier Bain photo shows a Lt. Fitzgibbons
    Gigli and Lt. Fitzgibbons (LOC)

Based on research into a nearby Bain picture of Gigli (see comments on picture above), this is probably in September 1922.

He is in the uniform of the New York Police Glee Club. See another earlier photo:
Alma Clayburgh and Police Glee Club (LOC)

I think Fitzgibbons may be third from right.
Could the man in this later Bain photo be the same person?

NY Post refers to him as Patrick J. Ellis Island shows him returning (age 43) on the Mauretania, accompanied by Margaret Fitzgibbons (age 42). The boys wearing little boy pants and grown up hats are George (age 9) and Edward (age 8). None of them have middle initials.

Seuss. -- Great. Do you have a date. I don't find anything in Chronicling America for Fitzgibbons and Mauretania in 1925.
