He works for the Royal Liver Friendly Society.
Hisdaughterniece Mary is a clerk there.

Waterford Standard - Wednesday 21 July 1926
WATERFORD ROYAL LIVER SOCIETY STAFF. PLEASANT SOCIAL EVENING.
The annual inspection of the Waterford District of the Royal Liver Friendly stuff took place on Thursday last. The visiting deputation consisted of Mr. R. Shepard, of the Committee of Management, and Mr. Dempsey, of the Irish Sub-Committee Following the inspection, the entire staff, including the deputation, were entertained by the Manager, Mr. Tobin, at his residence, No. 10 William street. A photograph of the party having been taken in the pretty garden attached to Mr. Tobin's house. they adjourned to the dining-room. where 25 guests sat down. to a sumptuous repast.
