East side of Pleasant St. (now Barrington St.), south of Morris St.

Looks like it could be the east side of Barrington Street (just south of Morris Street), around 1277 to 1253 Barrington. 1253 & 1259 are still pretty distinct buildings, and 1273-77 Barrington Street (Retrieval Code 102-39-1-512) looks like it could be building on the left.

Thanks for your identification, Ryan Tucker! The buildings in the photograph have definitely changed quite a bit over the years so it's difficult to be 100% sure, but it does look like you're correct about the location based on the appearance of the surrounding buildings. I've updated the description in the database with the new information - thanks again!

Suck Diesel 1938 is an interesting year, I wonder if there is a bigger story to it?

Premises of Buzacotts (Queensland) Ltd store at 443 Adelaide Street, Brisbane

I recall my father buying a Farmers Boy rotary hoe from Buzacotts in the 1950s. Probably bought other items there too, but I got to use the rotary hoe as a little bloke, it was more interesting.
