Swordscookie The report that Sharon links suggests that a fault in one of the wheels caused an axle to crack. Probably the one examined in the video.

New Ross Standard - Thursday 20 May 1993 carried a notice for an auction of railway sleepers and rails from the former Quigley Magnesite Plant at Ballynacourty. So it had gone by May 1993.
