  This may be a truly one-of-a-kind photo: First find the man standing atop #657 at left; he's refilling the sand dome. Then look for his enlarged shadow in the STEAM that's venting upward between him and the camera! This is made possible by the fact that the sun, which is low enough to be blocked by the locomotive, is directly behind him. I wonder if Richie knew this was going to happen or just got lucky?!

  See notes on photo. Tractor is a bit fuzzy on Megazoom but looks like a Fordson Major. Exhaust pipe is outside bonnet on LH side. Dextas came through bonnet. Good write up on Railbuses if you click on above picture.

  According to wikipedia, Lisbellaw station closed on 1st October 1958, less than a year before this photo.
