    Very nice photograph... I'm a sucker for open vestibule observation cars.... This is just such a nice one... The RR business cars were so luxurious. I've toured through a few in museums... I just want to live in one! I've started to collect 20s-30s Pullman Co. blankets and already have a handsome stack of the linen towels. Someday, someday.

    Such a great photo of a location that was very rarely photographed. This is taken at Red River St between 3rd and 4th, looking East. The train is coming from the street running on 3rd St , over to the street running on 4th. The boxcar is on a small siding at 4th that extended a bit to the West. Between the boxcar and the passenger car, you can make out the white bridge railing over Waller Creek. Here's a Sanborn Map from 1935 that shows this area very well: texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth575186/m1/1/zoom/?...
