It can't be too hard to find that ecclesiastical looking building on the right. I'll guess somewhere round Thomas St to start with, though no doubt Beaner will beat me to the exact location.

What an unnatural pose! Poor Linda O'Reilly looks like a store-window dummy, with her stiletto stuck in the muck. Is that a genuine 'beehive' hairdo?

The Signal Cabin is not itself on Albert Quay, it can be seen here on the 25" OSI map. The South City Link Road was built on this old railway. I can tell this is the Signal Cabin in question from this paired photo in the archive: Station from Signal Cabin, Albert Quay, Cork City, Co. Cork As we often find with O'Dea's pictures, this was taken on 19 March 1961, and per wikipedia, Regular passenger services were withdrawn on 1 April 1961

Thanks Niall McAuley - You are of course correct! I have updated the map location accordingly. And also added a short note to the description. Much appreciated!

The caption should read Bill Canty taking a breather.
