The Signal Cabin is not itself on Albert Quay, it can be seen here on the 25" OSI map. The South City Link Road was built on this old railway. I can tell this is the Signal Cabin in question from this paired photo in the archive: Station from Signal Cabin, Albert Quay, Cork City, Co. Cork As we often find with O'Dea's pictures, this was taken on 19 March 1961, and per wikipedia, Regular passenger services were withdrawn on 1 April 1961

Anybody see Robert Mitchum in the crowd? lol They filmed "Michael Collins" and "Angela's Ashes" here, but those are much later than the 60's.

I think this might be Store St., very much changed. Just outside where Busaras is now. The lampost matches!

That's a pretty funky bus. Can't remember ever seeing any like that on the streets of Dublin. No doubt someone will know all about it.
