    One of the London Transport concrete bus stops, design influenced by Christian Barman, and with the finials on top - the lower was a red 'bobbin' for Central area red buses, and the upper in green, denoting that the Green Line 709/10/11 stopped here.

    What a lovely image! Taken, I think, on the traverser/turntable in Poplar trolleybus depot (in east London) it looks like an L3 class 1467 (FXH 467) one of the 1939 deliveries that went into service with the last big tram/trolleybus conversion in 1940. The 567 ran from Aldgate out to West Ham.

    RT8 type, delivered Nov 1951 The woman in trousers on front of the bus is the conductoress. Her ticket machine is strapped on her chest, she's also wearing a badge with her public transport employee's number.

    Great shot - Victoria bus station - and LYR 588 was RT 3369, scrapped finally in 1971. The two RTs on the left are 'roof box' bodied, with the route number blinds on the dome - the others are the later variants with the 3-part destination blinds including the number.
