Hainault welded bridge

    In 1935 the Transport Museum started a "New Works Programme". The work started in 1938 but was suspended when WW2 began. It recommenced in 1946. Development of the suburb of Hainault was begun in the late 1920s.

    West End Road facing north. Ruislip Gardens station would be just out of shot to the right. The turning on the immediate left is for Bedford Road on which I grew up.
