This photo is potentially Mrs. Casey's Store in Flinton. I've received some new information to the contrary which I will follow up on and confirm here in future!
(Mrs. Casey's daughter's first name was Jeanine. Mrs. Casey also had a son named Cyril. The far room contained a pool table and a shuffleboard table. I remember my brother Barry and I buying penny candies at Mrs. Casey's store from Jeanine with money given to us by our grandfather, Wilfrid Lessard in the mid to late 1960's.) -

This was the home of Fred A. York (1876-1922) and his wife Mabel Jane Wagar (1879-1962). I believe she lived here until about the time of her death. My mother, Meryl York, was born in this house in 1932. Fred York was a blacksmith whose shop was across the road in the building that became Davison's Garage (since torn down). This house had been a store and Mom said you could still see the bell for ringing for help. Fred A. York's parents Frederick Haner York (1840-1888) and Margaret Cummings (1840-1927) were storekeepers in Flinton from the 1880s and Margaret continued on after his death.
King's Cross Reconstruction Work

Hmm, I'm minded to think this may well be earlier - the large scale works to reconstruct the Circle/H&C/Met platforms here was completed in c1936/8 and I suspect this may show that work. Also - trams not trolleybuses as you'd have found post-war. I'll check.

I agree - the buses suggest mid to late 30s, and tram routes round Kings Cross were converted to trolleybus operation in 1938.
