Great find. You're speaking of 1921 (title) and 1922 (description). Anyway, this photograph is taken at the premises of the depot of "Gemeentetram Amsterdam" Bellamyplein, Amterdam-West.

The first order of the first generation of Amsterdam buses; 11 Büssing / Lange & Gutzeit build buses for 3 lines; A, B and C. The bus here is just delivered and still being worked on before exploitation in Amsterdam; still without destination signs on the body and a line indicator on the front of the roof. Licenceplate, parknumber and coat of arms are already put in place. Picture is taken in the 'garden' facing Bellamyplein at the Tramdepot Tollensstraat.

I think trams might be my favourite form of transport. :-)
