I wonder if this isn't an old plantation house. Notice the columns on the front porch. The brick chimneys were originally stuccoed. And there's an enormous magnolia tree in the side yard.

I would agree which is why I jested about Pennsylvania! Seems right for the north eastern seaboard or the nothern mid-west. Given that the scene is so typical unless you could get some relative I doubt you will get a definitive location. That looks like a young lad in a dress with the couple and the two girls?

Swordscookie Definitely! 2 girls and a boy in the "family" group. Wondering if the two lads were also part of the family and were standing separately to show they were "young men" or if they were non-related farm hands?
