    trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/4208388 - a crop from this pic...showing only A.V. Kewney (the chap on the left)...appeared in the Melbourne Argus on 13th October, 1930...the pic was evidently taken in Sydney on 10th October, 1930, when RMS Aorangi arrived from Vancouver. She was evidently berthed at Darling Harbour wharf No. 5. A.V. Kewney (Arthur Vaux Kewney) was then secretary of the Victoria Racing Club. At the time he was returning to Australia from a tour to Britain and Europe. The identity of the chap on the right remains a work in progress...the name on the slide appears to be 'Purdey'... trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/16719323 - SMH, 3rd October, 1930...the Aorangi's passenger list that appeared in the SMH has a Mr G. Purdy...so that might be him... he's not Dr John Smith Purdy (1872–1936), the Sydney Health Officer...
