The following day, the court voted on a resolution to remove Sulzer from office. On October 17, 1913, Sulzer was removed by the same margin, a vote of 43-12, and Lt. Gov. Glynn succeeded to the governorship.[5]" The date on the negative suggests that this is the vote in the NY legislature to impeach rather than the impeachment trial.

ALBANY, New York, Sept. 22 [1913]. -- James C. Garrison, the [NY Governor] Sulzer press agent, who was arrested on the floor of the Assembly for refusing to answer questions after he had charged that four of the Assembly votes for the Sulzer impeachment resolution had been bought, was taken from the county penitentiary this afternoon to Troy on a writ of habeas corpus and produced before Supreme Court Justice Aaron V.S. Cochran, who had issued the writ.

I'd like to know more about keeper Simon - he looks like a jolly fellow. Does he work for a zoo? Is he an elephant specialist? Or an early sea lion trainer perhaps? Maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick, and was his name Simon Keeper? I do hope not.
