    Something that's been staring me in the face with the photos - their complexions are very good. It's very rare you see a pimple or scabs - their food, despite being gruel, was far superior to our chemical-laden meals we eat these days.

What a wonderful social commentary Carol, great shot and great material to mull over with a nice cup of tea and (non virtual) sticky bun! The two ladies with veils over their faces as a reminder that the hijab was not the only form of face covering in use. The gentleman with the top hat looking so discomfited by mixing with the hoi-polloi and the casual boater relaxing at the back, a great start to a Flickr week!
