The AMAZING thing is that they allowed Google Street View INSIDE the two Pilot's Cottages, and anyone can have a sticky-beak. I am not sure if this is a first for a museum or not. I think I might have the answer ... my previous messages had a shortened googleMaps hyperlink which Flickr normally rejects with a warning, ... but there was no warning so the mail was not sent. Clear as mud!

It looks like the ship is anchored there. And Monkey swung by several times as the white yacht moves around. And something is going on with the lifeboats ...

The Caronia called at Dun Laoghaire in early June according to the Belfast News-letter, though it just mentions that the cruise ship had called at an unspecified "Southen port" and Kingstown, and naturally concentrates on the civic receptions for the tourists in Bangor and Belfast. From Bangor the cruise was to continue to Norway. (Belfast News-Letter - Saturday 05 June 1954)
