From the look of him and the company he's keeping, "A.A. Gallatin" is probably Albert Eugene Gallatin (1881-1952), who inherited the vast fortune developed by his great-grandfather Albert Gallatin (early American Secretary of the Treasury and friend of the first John Jacob Astor), and was one of the most eligible socialite bachelors in New York of his era (excepting the pictured Mrs. J.J. Astor's late husband, who died on the Titanic in 1912). Thanks artolog. I was able to find a few other portraits of Albert Eugene Gallatin, and it does appear to be the same man. Bain has another photo of Gallatin, mis-labled as "A. G.
