    So is this a picture of the first paving that was done in this area? That would be a momentous occasion to be at the first paving event in the area. I bet they were super happy to drive cars around once it was all finished. Thanks for the photo, its fun to look through historical photos.

    I'm not sure if it was the first paving, but it could have been. There is no information on that with the photo. But what a shame that they ever tore down the Cheshire House, eh?

    Looking at how the people are dressed and the horse and cart. I don't think 1921,there's a similar photo of Hunter Street without the roadworks dated 1905
