Not from Government House, but a building at the corner of Bent and Macquarie Streets - later (1891) the Australian Club. Or possibly the top of the (old) Public Library. Compare with earlier Henry King (different gates) -
And later Charles Kerry (with 1893 Garden Island sheerlegs) -
It was a popular view with photographers - right out through the Heads. -
