    [http://www.flickr.com/photos/51979177@N02] Hmmm, it appears just the title of this image was entered incorrectly, the captions in our database records also don't indicate that it was taken during the floods so it must have been titled incorrectly. Thanks for alerting us quasymody, bit of an oops on our part :) P.S. That trove article is brilliant, great photographs!

    Certainly pre-1891 - the Manly Jetty seen in the other photo was built in 1891.

    pellethepoet beachcomber australia Thank you for the image and pointing out those clues. We initially dated this as c 1890 based on the women's clothing, however, the State Records NSW photograph provides a better reference point. Thanks again!
