    This is a view looking north from the foot of Broadway (at Bowling Green), showing construction of the U.S. Customs's House . The building was designed by architect Cass Gilbert. Construction began in 1900 and the building was completed in 1907. So I would suggest that this photo was taken closer to the year 1900 - rather than the "ca. 1905" date given.

    I agree, "during the time from June 22nd 1918 to Juli 21st 1918" can't read the last part, but it's for 60 days and it starts Jund 22nd 1918 And the tag "Führerschein" is wrong, it's not a drivers license, it's a tax license
