(found through wikipedia) Mrs. Payne Whitney (Helen) is the wife of William Payne Whitney, a wealthy American businessman and member of the influential Whitney family. TIME magazine reported that at the time of his death in 1934, Payne Whitney's estate was $191,000,000, the largest ever recorded in the United States. His estate funds contributed to the establishment of the Payne Whitney Psychiatric Clinic at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in 1932. Flora Whiney is the mother of Payne Whitney and mother-in-law to Helen.
