If this is part of the 1920 Police Field Days, this might be taken in the gymnasium on the top floors of the Police Building in Little Italy, (240 Centre St, built in 1909). The building was converted to luxury co-ops in 1988 and the gym is now a 6,600 sq ft duplex, unit 5H. Pretty, but pricey.

"WORMWOOD SCRUBS HUNGER STRIKE 1920 A rare photograph showing participants and supporters in the Wormwood Scrubs hunger strike of May 1920, taken in the grounds of the prison hospital, showing some 60 prisoners and supporters, with a tricolour marked 'RELEASE OR DEATH', with a few nurses. With a cutting from the Sunday Press, 9.12.1951, showing a similar photograph (same participants, not quite the same pose), identifying many of the participants, who include the hospital governor, Captain Luck, and his wife. 8 x 11 1/2 ins.
