The date appears to be March 23rd, 1913, so they would have been walking in the Easter Parade along Fifth Avenue.

I believe this couple is visible in one of the other Easter Parade photos here. I recognize her hat!

The Easter parade, which today starts at St. Patrick's and goes on up to about 59th Street, was more extensive when this picture was taken. The parade must have extended all the way down to the 42nd Street Library--look at the sightseers. The parade has contracted and moved uptown over the years.
