Emigrated, not 'immigrated'. You leave a country; you emigrate. If you are to be described as a person who has settled from afar, you are an immigrant. Peculiar English spelling - shared with US English - is that 'immigrant' has 2 'mm's'; 'emigrant' has only one. Too many youngsters on your staff?
