Ben Fagan You think definitely July 1903 then?

National Library of Ireland on The Commons Definitely, at least one other photo taken from around the same position in the J.J. Clarke collection was attributed to the same time: catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000168157 . Not to mention that the driver doesn't match any of the known early motorists of Ireland at this time. Also many came from as far as France to see the Race, which would explain the side panniers for holding tools etc - these were unusual at the time.

I'm guessing they are in the actual park across the road, rather than on the school grounds. Not many trees on school grounds at the time. 25" map link. The school is still there: Streetview
