Yes, that's the old Madison Square Garden, called that because it bordered Madison, not Union Square, and the view is looking to the east. This was taken from Broadway side of the General Worth Monument, shown encased in protection.

LOC --- your alteration of a key word in the Bain Agency's title on this photo from "Broadway" to "Brdway" is quirky, to say the least.
