Does anyone know what type of car this is? If you zoom in on our highest resolution image, the hub appears to say Packard Motors. This resembles the Twin Six, but I'm not sure if there were other similar models or what year it was produced.

This seems to be a 1920 Packard Twin Six roadster, there are great similarities to this 1920 Packard Twin Six 4-passenger Special Touring in en.wheelsage.org/packard/twin_six/92390/pictures/u8b10m/.

Nellie Bramley was an Australian stage actress born in Melbourne. She performed all over Australia and New Zealand from 1910 until the late 1940's. She performed many times at the Palace Theatre Melbourne, usually with a weekly change of programme. She held the record for the longest run in many theatres including the Palace. Her performances at the Palace are listed below......... 1917 On Saturday February 24, Ben and John Fuller introduce their “Premier Dramatic Company” at the newly renovated Palace Theatre in Melbourne. They open with a production of “Margaret of the Red Cross” headed by Nellie Bramley and Austen Milroy. They have a policy of weekly changes and their second week features “A Girl's Good Luck”. In March they present “The Broken Home”, “In The Heart Of A City”, “Is A Girl To Blame”, followed by “The Princess of Patches”. April, “Only a Shop Girl”, “Married to the Wrong Man”, “Queen of the Redskins” and “The Little Grey Home in the West”. May, “A Girl's Temptation”, “The Mistake of her Life”, “A Modern Adventuress” and “Held by the Enemy”. June, “The Course Of True Love”, “At Cripple Creek”, “Sweet Innisfallen”, and “The Night side of London”. July “East Lynne”, “Love is Blind”, “The Beggar Girl's Wedding” “Little Lord Fauntleroy” and “The Sledge Hammer”. August, “Mary Latimer – Nun”, “The Bad Girl of the Family”, “The Girl Who Took The Wrong Turning” and Nellie's final production with Fullers at the Palace at the end of August is “No Mother To Guide Her”. The Palace season has seen Nellie perform in 27 plays over 6 months. Fullers Dramatic Company continue at the Palace with Gwen Dorise as the new leading lady. 1918 In March, Nellie is back playing the Melbourne Palace and billed as “Melbourne's favourite actress”. She opens with Austen Milroy in “Lured from her Home”. This is followed by “That Woman From France”. The following week the company moved into the BIGGER Princess theatre. In April Nellie returns to the Palace Theatre in Melbourne and opens with “The Female Swindler” followed by “The Gayest Of The Gay” in which Nellie plays three parts. This is followed by “The Woman Pays”, “The World's Verdict” and “Saturday Night In London”. May , “The Bank Of England”, “A Girl's Cross Roads”, “Her second Time On Earth”, “Her Luck In London”. June, “The Girl Who Knew A Bit” (in which Nellie plays “boy” parts), “The Power And The Glory”, “Driving A Girl To Destruction”, “Greed Of Gold” and “Work And Wages”. July , “The Power Of The Cross”, “The Little Girl God Forgot”, “Secrets Of The Harem” and “The Black Flag”. August, “The French Spy”, “The Bad Girl Of The Family”, “A Wife for A Day” and “Death Or Glory Boys”. By September, Roy Redgrave has joined the company and they present “The Heart Of A Hero”. This is followed by “Passion's Power” and a revival of “The Little Girl God Forgot” then “Human Hearts”. October, “Murder Will Out”, “Her Forbidden Marriage”, “An Old Sweetheart Of Mine” and “His Real Wife”. November, “The Wedding Ring”, “The Little Church Around The Corner” and “Driftwood”. December, “The House Of Lies”, “The Little Grey Home In The West” and they close the season with “East Lynne”. The season ends in December. 1920 On February 28, Nellie returns to the Palace in Melbourne with Fullers Popular Dramatic Players where she heads the bill. They open with “The Fatal Wedding” and play weekly program changes through until June. March. “For The Sake Of A Woman”, “Going Straight”, “Queen of the Redskins” and “The Rosary”. April. “A Life's Revenge”, “A Girl's Temptation” and “The Broken Home”. May. “Robbery Under Arms”, “Camille”, “A Girl's Good Luck”, “The Favourite” and “Chipple Creek”. June. “A Thief In The Night”, "Daughter of Mother Machree.", “One Law For Both”, “A Modern Adventuress”. The company continues at the palace without Nellie in the cast. In October, “after an absence of several months”, Nellie re-appears at the Palace in “The Labour Leader” and plays weekly changes through to December. Later in October they present “A Mother Should Tell” and Nellie also holds an afternoon public Reception at the Palace Theatre. The event is recorded on film. November. “A Mormon and His Wives”, “Possum Paddock”, “The Natural Law”, “The Female Hun” and “Her Fight For Fortune”. In mid November, the “Cinematograph Picture of the recent Nellie Bramley reception” is shown prior to the nights performances or in the intervals at the Palace. December. “The Bedroom Wedding”, followed by a farewell performance to close the season. 1921 On September 17, the Fullers company moves from the Princess to the Palace and open with “When London Sleeps”. They continue at the Palace with...... October. “A Country Girl In London”, “The Great Morality Play”. November. “In a Man's Grip”, “The Man Who Made Good” and “A Lady Of Twilight”. In December Fullers Dramatic Players end a run of 213 weeks (4 years) with “Little Lord Fauntleroy”. 1926 In August, Nellie's first time in musical comedy is in “Our Liz” at the Palace in Melbourne. It runs for 6 weeks. 1932 On Monday April 11 Nellie transfers “Eliza Comes to Stay” from the Comedy theatre to the Palace theatre. She continues to present weekly changes of productions at the Palace until December. April: “She Couldn't Say No” “The Irish Cinderella” and “Madame X”. May, “Scandalmongers”, “The Creaking Chair” July: “Sunday”, “French Leave”. August: “Polly With A Past”, “Fair and Warmer”, “Brown Sugar” and “The Sport of Kings”. September: “Aren't We All”, “Loose Husbands”. October: “A Wife Or Two”. November: “Relations”, “Believe It Or Not”, “You'd Be Surprised” and “The White Rat”. December: “The Brat”, “The Waster”, “The Skull” and “Dancing Partners”. 1933 January...still playing at the Melbourne Palace with a weekly change of programme. January's productions included “The Mummy and the Mumps” then “Phoebe Cleans House”. At the end of January the company has presented 42 plays over a period of 44 weeks. The Christmas show “Dancing partners” rans for 2 weeks. Audiences at the Palace are estimated at 7000 per week! On February 4 Nellie celebrated her birthday (43) with a gala performance of “Baa Baa Black Sheep” followed by a birthday supper and dance attended by 250 guests. In March the company presents “Tilly Of Bloomsbury”, “Mrs Dot”, “The Baby Cyclone” and “Almost a Honeymoon”. April, “Leave It To PSMITH”, “What a Girl”, “Tons Of Money”, “Married And How” and “The Mystery Express”. May, “The Fortune Teller”, “These Few Ashes”, “The Laughter Of Fools” and “Marry At Leisure”. A 64 week season closes in June with “Bag and Baggage” and “Peg O My Heart”. 1974 At the age of 84, Nellie returns to the Palace Theatre in Melbourne as a special guest when it re-opens as the Palace Cinema after operating as the Apollo, St James and Metro.
