Harry Lauder & wife (LOC)

  My grandmother had a Harry Lauder 78rpm record--I think it belonged to her mother. Harry's wikipedia entry: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Lauder Mrs. Lauder was the former Ann "Nancy" Vallance, whose father managed a colliery in Lanarkshire. Listen to him here: youtu.be/OAtNk-yPoWs youtu.be/6X_3N6pcXBw youtu.be/vbM86eiczAg Lauder toured the US in 1915. If this photo was taken in late 1915, that was just a year before their only son John died in WWI (in late 1916).

  Daughter of a Georgia sheriff, Stanley Mattox: www.glynngen.com/~thecrypt/pinebarrens/#20 Married Florida attorney Oscar Miller: www.okefenokeepress.com/digest09-1913.html Married again sometime later, to James Monahan (1904-1978), senior editor at Reader's Digest; he was her co-author on the Lasker-award winning piece. She survived him. She died in 1981.
