  I can't tell you what brand it is, but I can tell you about the photography. With a large round reflective surface it is difficult to not fill the screen with the photographer and the rest of the shop. That's why the set is on a desk in a corner, tilted, and the photographer looking up at the thing. Still doesn't work- I can't imagine this was used for an ad.

  Josh Graciano Nice observations. In case you're interested, this was taken by a photographer working for the Tallahassee Democrat, but wasn't published in that newspaper.

  It's a Pilot Model TV-37 "Candid" Television from 1948. It was the economical model of the time, selling for $99 . More info here antiqueradio.org/PilotTV-37.htm
