He's so tiny!

This has to be a fairly early photo of Sweeney. Through most of his career he fought as a middleweight, usually at just over 160 lb. He was fighting as early as August 19, 1911, when he was 16 years old. Here's his bout list page at BoxRec. As is recorded there, by the middle of 1912 he was already over 130 lb., so this photo was most likelyly taken early that year or late in 1911. An excerpt from his obituary is quoted on this page. Both there and at BoxRec, the spelling of his real name is given as John Kraynack, rather than the "Kraynak" currently featured on his Wikipedia page. Odds are it's Wikipedia that's got it wrong.

It looks like he was a witness in a high profile investigation of police graft in NYC. Since he was ill, it looks like these are photos of arrangements to take his testimony at his home.
