    Lovin' the pet photos! Rellies of mine who had a racing yacht in the 1880s ('Galatea' in the 1886 America's Cup) also had a pet monkey on board.

    Australian National Maritime Museum on The Commons Thanks for the link - that was the HMS GALATEA on which my gg-uncle, William Henn was an officer before its trip to Australia in 1868. He named his own yacht GALATEA after it. He, his wife and the pet monkey lived on board for years. I think they were real characters!
