Of the streamliners in the back, the one with the prominent nose grille is one of M-10003 through M-10006, the pioneer streamlined trainsets built by Pullman-Standard with motive power equipment by General Motors' Electro-Motive. Partly hidden at the right is one of the EMD E2 locomotives, while the other locomotive, unobscured, is an EMD E6. All of these were jointly owned and operated by the C&NW and the Union Pacific.
