  Interesting that the original title identifies them as a photographer and his staff-- you can see them posed with the equipment for their roles. The man at front right is the printer, with a contact frame. The young man at front left does tinting and/or retouching. The man seated at the table does admin and records, perhaps, with his ledger. Fascinating.

  He's put his name on the building directly behind him. However, he's not at Chaffin's, he's at an abandoned farmhouse near Butler's Canal. My bad. Roche can be seen in several of his Petersburg series, photographed alone and also with his teamster.
