More great sleuth-work by Kyle Miller. By email he suggested this location: "You can verify this with Google Streetview of 2699 Northwood Terrace, In particular, note: - lot configuration - trim on houses - windows on the left-hand house Interesting that there are still clotheslines and picket fences on these properties today" Thanks for your help, Kyle!

5-8 Wright Ave.

This was the house my father and all his siblings were born in. The Flynn's on one side and the Norris' on the other side.

Wow, that's so interesting, www.flickr.com/photos/193508122@N07/! Contact archives@halifax.ca if you'd like to purchase a high-resolution copy of this photo.

Is it The Power house Youth center on Bell road near Halifax commons.
  • Halifax Municipal Archives said:
Harjas Kaur Hi there! Thanks for your suggestion, it certainly seems like the right type of house - however, some of the architectural details don't quite line up, like the railing and the shape of the front windows. We think this is probably somewhere outside of Halifax.

Is it the Mitchell (?) house on Tower just up from Inglis…sadly gone now?
  • Halifax Municipal Archives said:
That is the right era, www.flickr.com/photos/haggis/, but photos of the now-demolished Mitchell House on Tower Road show that the porch and bay windows were quite different from this one: www.htns.ca/pdf_Griffin/G0406-2.pdf
