Identified! 2239 Maynard Street

Looks kind of like Clyde St.

Agricola St, down near the commons? I think those two houses still exist there.

Thanks Allison McKinnon ! A look at Google streetview doesn't match up this interesting dormer window/chimney combination in that area of Agricola.

Those are similar to Clyde Street houses, w_colleen , but Clyde feels like a narrower street than this. Any other clues?

Someone who used to live in the area has emailed us to suggest this is 2447-2443 Creighton Street, east-side between Charles and what is now Buddy Daye St. All the homes except the one on the left (2447?) would now be gone; that building is currently green in Google street view and does look similar to the 1950s one, but it is not so obviously the same that we're still going to ask others if this looks like Creighton St. What do you think? www.google.com/maps/place/2443+Creighton+St,+Halifax,+NS+...

Probable location - backyards of 5531-5537 Black Street, Halifax, taken from Northwood Terrace

More great sleuth-work by Kyle Miller. By email he suggested this location: "You can verify this with Google Streetview of 2699 Northwood Terrace, In particular, note: - lot configuration - trim on houses - windows on the left-hand house Interesting that there are still clotheslines and picket fences on these properties today" Thanks for your help, Kyle!

Identified! Probably 1010-1014 Barrington St.

A close-up view shows the civic numbers are 1010 and 1014, but of what street? People who grew up in the area and did deliveries there have emailed to say they think this could be the west side of Barrington before Artz St., partly because of the slope of the laneway. That fits with the old civic numbers for that section of Barrington. Does that fit with your memory?

St. Mary's University cartographer Will Flanagan found these buildings on this aerial photograph (102-16N-0039.4) and sent us an email to confirm their location on the west side of Barrington St. just before North St. The civic address may have changed over the years, but it does look like we have a location - Thanks Will!
