    In 1949 Mr Edward Matthews of Newrath was a manager at John Egan and Sons, Barronstrand Street. His son Harry had just obtained his Degree in Dental Surgery (which was cause for a couple of paragraphs in Waterford Standard Saturday 29 October 1949). DannyM8 Earlier, in 1928, a Mr E Matthews of Newrath was enrolled as a new member of Waterford Kennel Club. (Waterford Standard - Saturday 11 February 1928)
