  Hi I believe that the date on the back of the photo as quoted, may be incorrect. My father left on the Fairsea in September 1953, crossing the equator on 8 October 1953, arriving in Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia 17 October 1953. I hope this helps as I've been unable to find the date of the actual departure, as yet.
