    Second from the left is Patrick MacDonald, aka "Macbeth the Great"; hear him singing "Buy me a Zeppelin" here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3g8O4qNdJ0 Middle guy looks like Cecil Anderson (1906-1968), aka "the Duke of Iron." He was Trinidad-born, moved to NYC in 1923, and was appearing regularly at the Village Vanguard and the Caribbean Club in the 1940s.     I suspect that the man at left is George Anderson (Cecil Anderson’s brother), who performed–briefly?–under the sobriquet “Count of Monte Cristo.” My guess is that these photos were taken not at the “Calypso at Midnight” concert at Town Hall in 1946, but rather at a calypso monarch competition that was staged at the Renaissance Ballroom in February 1947. I also see that the link I left earlier doesn't work; it's supposed to go a story on p. of the July 12, 1947 edition of the Afro-American, which is archived at Google News.
