George Washington Kendall (b. 29 Dec. 1881 in Montreal; d. 19 Oct. 1921 in Montreal) renamed himself George Kendall. He was a wrestler and sports promoter. Also the manager of the Canadiens Hockey club. "On 24 May 1913 Kendall staged a sports event that would stand for years as the most important of its kind in the history of Montreal: the fight between Stanislaus Zbysko of Poland and Constant Le Marin of Belgium for the world heavyweight championship. More than 10,000 people watched the match. That year he set up two American circuits, one in the east and one in the west." (ref. www.biographi.ca/009004-119.01-e.php?&id_nbr=7823 )

I think this photo's labeled backward. If the previous photo was Le Marin, then that's him again on the right in this photo.

"The David N. Dinkins Municipal Building, originally the Municipal Building and then the Manhattan Municipal Building,[4] at 1 Centre Street in Manhattan, New York City, is a 40-story building built to accommodate increased governmental space demands after the 1898 consolidation of the city's five boroughs. Construction began in 1907 and ended in 1914,[2][3] marking the end of the City Beautiful movement in New York. " en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manhattan_Municipal_Building

What is that low structure in front of the building? It looks like it is at the entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge.
