Date of 3/12/18 is scratched on negative. This is probably the group of Giants leaving New York by train for their spring training camp in Marlin, Texas on March 11, 1918. In that group were pitching prospects Waite Hoyt and George Smith, as well as George Burns, Howard Baker, Jack Onslow, Herman Schaefer and catcher Mike Hogan, along with Eddie Brannan of the Giants' staff. query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=9A0DE7DF103BEE... Those 9 are mentioned in the Times article, so that is probably the group pictured. The Giants were destined to finish a distant second to the Chicago Cubs in 1918. Waite "Schoolboy" Hoyt was an 18 year old rookie prospect who would debut that year for the Giants and go on to a Hall of Fame career. baseballhall.org/hof/hoyt-waite
