And another picture is at www.photosofchurches.com/norfolk-thorpe-church.htm commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Thorpe_St_Andrew_Church_-... and other recent photos indicate that the spire has been shortened since the picture used for the photochrom was taken. www.georgeplunkett.co.uk/Norfolk/tho.htm has pictures from 1954 and 1955 that show the removal of the spire.

The wikipedia article says that the memorial was built in 1911, so this would be between 1911 and 1915 rather than 1910 and 1915.

Also - I realise obviously it is a black and white picture, but it doesn't appear that the gilting had been done at the time the picture was taken - I would have expected there to be a glossier shine even in the BnW, but it appears to look exactly the same as the statue beneath.
